What does "Leak Found or It's FREE*" actually mean?
Exactly what it says — if we attend your property, conduct our full investigation using thermal imaging, acoustic and tracer gas equipment, and we cannot locate the source of your leak, we will not charge you a cent. No invoice, no call-out fee, nothing. We only charge when we find the leak. The only condition is that the leak must be larger than 10 litres per hour. That's our guarantee.
How do you find leaks?
We use a combination of thermal imaging cameras, acoustic listening devices and tracer gas detection. Thermal cameras show temperature anomalies caused by water under slabs or behind walls. Acoustic equipment lets us hear the specific sound signature of pressurised water escaping a pipe. Together these allow us to pinpoint the exact location before a single tile is lifted or a wall is opened.
How much does leak detection cost?
We provide fixed, upfront pricing before we start — no surprises. The cost varies depending on the type and complexity of the leak, but you'll know exactly what you'll pay before we begin. Call us or submit a quote request and we'll give you a clear price straightaway.
Do you provide reports for insurance claims?
Yes. After every job we provide a full written report including photos of the leak location, the detection method used and the repair completed. This documentation is exactly what most insurers require for a successful claim, and we're experienced at producing reports in the format insurers need.
How quickly can you attend?
We offer same-day service across the Sunshine Coast in most cases, and true 24/7 emergency response for burst pipes and active leaks. When you call, we'll confirm our earliest available time — typically within a few hours for non-emergency jobs, and as fast as possible for emergencies.
I received a notification from Unitywater that I have a leak on my property.
Unitywater are now replacing water meters with smart water meters that can detect if you have a leak on your property. Sometimes the leak may not be a concealed leak — it could be something as simple as a toilet running constantly, a hot water system relief valve dripping, or a tap that won't fully shut off. But in most cases, a Unitywater notification indicates an underground concealed leak or a leak behind a wall that you simply can't see. These types of leaks require specialised detection equipment to locate — which is exactly what we do. Give us a call and we can help you track it down quickly.
My water bill has gone up — could I have a leak?
Almost certainly, yes. A sudden or unexplained increase in your water bill is one of the most common signs of an underground or slab leak. Even a small pinhole leak under pressure can waste thousands of litres per day. If your bill has increased without a change in usage, call us — an inspection will quickly confirm whether you have a leak and where it is.
Are you plumbers or just leak detectors?
We are licensed plumbers who specialise in leak detection. This means we understand exactly how water systems are installed — water mains, concealed water pipes, underground pipes — and we understand how and why they leak. Unlike leak detection-only companies, as licensed plumbers we can also offer repairs. Once a leak is detected, we can provide you with a quote to repair it on the spot, saving you the hassle of calling a separate plumber. One call, fully sorted.
What suburbs do you service?
We service the entire Sunshine Coast — from Caloundra in the south to Noosa in the north, and out to the hinterland and everywhere in between. If you're on the Sunshine Coast, we can get to you.
